This is a photogrammetry project to house these skull scans in an environemnt. All skulls and graves are scanned by yours truly!

The Process!
At Oatland, I photographed a deer, beaver, primate, and pelican skull. My setup included a white turntable, two white poster boards for fill light, a Canon camera, and a tripod. I first test-positioned the skulls in multiple ways to find the most stable positions.
I then positioned the Canon camera on a tripod, took a photo, turned the turntable slightly, took a photo, and so on until completing the full 360 degrees, marking a spot on the turntable to track progress. I repeated this at multiple camera heights by moving the tripod up incrementally, capturing different angles. After reviewing the shots, I rotated the skull specimen and repeated the entire process to capture the skull from both top and bottom. This was done for each skull, with around 400–700 photos taken of each!
I then edited these photos in Photoshop, decreasing contrast, and uploaded them to Reality Scan. In Reality Scan I processed the photos, adding control points when necessary, and finally exported them to Unreal Engine!
This cave bear came from the JW Marriot!
This scull came from SCAD's very own Film Lot!
